Game Design Thinking

This game is part of the assignments for the course Master the Art of Game Systems Design and Analysis by Gabriel Chauriye of Game Design Thinking. It was made so students can analyse the game based on the new knowledge they acquire throughout the course, and discover new things each time they do so!

A Karateka master Potato who died in suspicious circumstances is brought back to life as a Zombie… without losing its Karate abilities! 

Combat the Tuberous Baddies who mysteriously come back to life more powerful than before each time you defeat them, increase your stats, use powerful spells, and get to Level 99 in this Idle Roguelike!

Note: remember this game was made to teach about systems in the context of my online course, so it’s not necessarily balanced or super player-friendly, but I’m glad if you enjoy it regardless and I hope you enjoy the course!

Controls

All buttons can be clicked!

Combat

Q, W, E – Spend Materials to use Powerful Spells.

R, F, V – Spend Gems to increase Chances temporarily.

1, 2, 3 – Change focused enemy.

Enter – Go to Shop.

Esc – Reset & Go to Menu

Shop

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – Spend Gold on Merchants to increase your powers.

Q, E – Increase the ratio of exchange for Mages.

A, D – Exchange resources with Mages.

Enter – Go to Combat.

Esc – Reset & Go to Menu
